The Role
Your responsibility includes cleaning of internal and external areas, ensuring safe access to the premises, undertake minor maintenance and decoration works, carry out routine and non-routine tests and checks of fire-fighting equipment, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems. You will monitor the Estates Service Desk and carry out tasks as appropriate in a timely and accurate manner to meet Estates Service Level Agreements. You will also be one of the main drivers for the College, which will include delivery of post, parcels, etc. When required you will provide back up support and assistance for the Security team, and Reprographics Room services.
Skills and Experience
You will have a category D driving licence. You will have the ability to communicate in a calm and professional manner with students, staff and visitors at all levels and have the ability to carry out decorating and minor repairs to buildings. Some experience of cleaning methods of both internal and external areas of buildings and grounds is essential and the ability to work unsupervised. You will work accordance with the College’s Health and Safety Policy and College’s Equality and Diversity Policy and therefore practical awareness of how to implement it is essential.
Full training will be provided for the right candidate who is looking for an entry role in the Estate/ Facilities sector.
