The Role
An experienced lecturer is required to teach and facilitate learning for all Engineering students managing modules, learning courses and assessment, and contributing to pastoral systems and curriculum innovation, development and implementation of a new course of technical modules.
The suitable candidate will provide an excellent learning experience to ensure the individual student gains the appropriate skills in readiness for employment and of progress onto university to complete their degree.
Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will hold BSc in Civil Engineering and be a member of ICE and hold or be working towards PGCE or equivalent qualification. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have excellent theoretical knowledge in engineering discipline, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively motivate and inspire students. You’ll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills. You will have experience of delivering lectures to level 4 and above on general and civil engineering modules. You will have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team committed to quality delivery and can manage a diverse workload including meeting targets within set timescales
